Food and Bonding time!

The food here sucks. A typical menu: beef on a bed of rice, spicy tomato sauce on a bed of rice, or lentil soup with yogurt. This really means: some unidentifiable lump on rice, not-so-spicy tomato water on rice, or green water with yogurt (the yogurt actually tastes fine but one day I saw where it comes from--giant jugs)..... Not appitizing. I eat it. I don't complain too much. I miss real food.
So... last Friday, myself, Signe from Norway, Uri from the UK, Rahel
from Germany, Simon from Jersey, and Marie from Switzerland decided to cook dinner for ourselves. On the menu? Four courses... starter:raddish with salt, first course:stirfry, second course:cheese and crackers, dessert:bananas dipped in melted chocolate with biscuits(cookies). Yum! Considering the state of the kitchen we had to work with, I'm surprised it all worked out so well! It was really good and made everyone watching jealous!

That's awesome, I'm sorry the food kinda sucks...Is there anything you really want? I dont know how it would ship, but I need ideas for your thanksgiving present! Oh and an address would be good too...What about American candy...is it really a scarcity? I went on this trail ride with these people called the Ridge Riders and Traci, I rode Mama, and apparently it went longer than they usually do, but it lasted like 6 hrs, with a 30 minutes break for lunch, but it was really fun. It was funny though when all the people in their cowboy clothes sat down to salads out of tupperware containers with plastic silverware and separate tupperwares of dressing. And, since a couple hours after the trail ride, i havent been able to feel the top of my left foot, really weird, but, since it's numb, not at all painful. Bongo said that all the horses had places to go, so that's good. When are you gonna be home? We should definitely do something. Oh, if you dont have it, my email is loorah9587@aim.com or lbbaumgartner@aim.com (netscape got absorbed by aol, but if you send emails to netscape.net, they'll still go to me.) Yay for cooking your own dinner!
Bks, Laura
