Exam Stress

Hello everyone!
I'm sorry I haven't been on top of this lately. The last week has been a mad struggle in my brain to force myself to concentrate on our exams which started today rather than on the exciting fact that I'll be at home in six days!!!!! I just finished my maths exam. It didn't go very well... I didn't finish. Oh well. These exams are just for personal evaluation. The scores aren't sent anywhere and don't affect anything but people are still incredibly stressed out about them because thats how people are here. All perfectionists to some degree. Next I have spanish which I think I'll do worse on. All the Americans here have discovered that the American system of teaching languages is really bad. We're all much farther behind than all the Europeans. My final exam of the day is Environmental Systems which I'm not too worried about. It's all just a lot of vocabulary that is easy to remember. I do feel sorry for the non-natives in the class though. I mean to me it's quite obvious what "decomposers" do but it's much more difficult to remember if you don't know the word "decompose".
Tonight I'm going with Henning (norway) to our link family's house for a nice xmas meal! Yay! Real food and company! Then tomorrow night is our house xmas parties. Dyfed (my house) is having ours in this beautiful room we call the glass room in the Arts Centre. I'm making a lot of chocolate chip cookies. Wish me luck! We all get dressed up and have a nice evening.
Monday I have my English exam which will be on The Handmaid's Tale by Margret Atwood and on Tuesday I have a politics exam on Machiavelli, Hobbs, and Tolstoy. Wednesday is packing time and chill out day then Thursday I leave here at 8am to arrive home nearly 24 hours later. Wow! I can't believe this term is nearly over!
I can't wait to see you all!

hablando en espanol,
Malia
